A married female prison officer in the UK has received a 15-month prison sentence for engaging in illicit relationships with multiple inmates.
Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, from Fulham, was sentenced at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday, with half of her term to be served on license after she confessed to three distinct incidents involving a convicted burglar.

During the sentencing, Judge Martin Edmunds KC, the Recorder of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, revealed that a fellow inmate had captured the encounters on an unauthorized mobile device.
The judge highlighted that Abreu had acknowledged two other interactions with the same burglar, one of which was inadvertently recorded on her prison-issued body camera.
He remarked, “One incident involved sexual acts with the same inmate during separate occasions on the same day, partially captured by your body-worn camera by accident.” He further noted, “The other incident was a previous sexual encounter with the same individual.”

Judge Edmunds emphasized that these actions were not isolated incidents but indicative of ongoing behavior. The timeline of the initial offense remains unclear, but he assumed that the incidents occurred within a few days of each other.
