The first photo of late Catholic leader, Pope Francis’s lifeless body in a coffin has been released by the Vatican.
Pope Francis’ demise is one that left the entire world in a state of mourning especially the catholics.
While many were celebrating the rise of Christ on Easter Monday April 21, Pope Francis was pronounced dead by the Vatican.

His death did not really come as a surprise to the world considering he has been battling health issues and admitted to the hospital.
The pope’s lifeless body was placed in a coffin and brought to the chapel of the Santa Marta residence on Monday.
On Tuesday, the Vatican released the first photos and video of Francis since his death. The photos shows him in a wooden coffin.
Having mostly appeared in white robes during his final days, he was wearing a red robe in the coffin with the papal mitre on his head and a rosary intertwined in his hands.
