History has it that the Congolese advocate was cut into pieces and dipped into acid and the man behind it narrated it all.
Gérard Soete is reported to have confessed to cutting Patrice Lumumba’s body into pieces just like many other victims.
Asked how he gets the confidence to do that, Gerard made a revelation that before they embark on their mission, they mostly get drunk to establish some strong courage.
According to him, after a successful assassination, they cut the body into 34 pieces, kept them in an acid before getting rid of them.
He made a further revelation that it was a difficult task using chainsaw to cut the African hero into pieces.
“I cut up and dissolved Lumumba’s body in acid. In the middle of the African night, we started by getting drunk to have courage. We got rid of the bodies. The hardest part was cutting them into pieces with a chainsaw before pouring acid into them. There was almost nothing left, only a few teeth. And the smell! I washed three times and always felt like a barbarian dirty ”
His revelation came many years after the disappearance of the Congolese leader Patrice Lumumba.
